I watched 2003's three-hour miniseries, the 2004 13-episode first season, and the 2005 20-episode second season of the new Battlestar Galactica.*
You should buy it, not just rent it. It was hardcore.
Hardcore rating: 5 out of 5 "Hardcore, Chucks"

Next: All 144 hours of 24, seasons one through six. Unless I get a job.
* I've been unemployed, remember?

Consider me intrigued... AND insulted*!
I've always meant to watch this, and just never was able to pull the trigger. But I will, because Rider demands it.
*Due to brevity.
how's the job hunt going?
p.s. I've never watched (the new) Battlestar or 24.
Have the robots improved since the first series back in the day?
McGone: I can't speak for anything beyond season two ('cuz three isn't out on DVD yet), but it was phenomenal. There is something to the hype.
Valerie: I'm not sure how to answer that without violating the Rider's Block theme of me being an unemployed writer. But it's interesting that you asked on today of all days. ;)
Minijonb: Not only have the robots improved, but the humans as well. Not to mention the human-robots. It's complicated. At least there are no furry dog-robots this time.
